
Part-Time Group Tax Manager – Manchester Hybrid Working
c£80,000 FTE + Excellent Benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Group Tax Manager to join a private equity-backed group with operations across the UK, US and Europe. Working closely with the Group Finance Director, you’ll take ownership of the Group’s tax function, supported by a junior tax team member and external advisers. Managing these external relationships while ensuring the business remains compliant across multiple jurisdictions. You’ll also provide strategic tax leadership across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Group’s tax strategy, governance and advisory activities.
Manage global tax compliance across all jurisdictions, including corporation tax, VAT and indirect taxes, employment taxes and withholding taxes.
Oversee the preparation and timely submission of all Group tax returns.
Prepare and review tax provisions and disclosures under IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP, including deferred tax for statutory reporting.
Own and maintain the Group’s transfer pricing policies.
Lead Country-by-Country (CbC) reporting and OECD Pillar Two compliance.
Ensure compliance with Corporate Interest Restriction (CIR) legislation.
Manage Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) and Corporate Criminal Offence (Criminal Finances Act) obligations.
We’re looking for an experienced tax professional who is comfortable operating in a standalone environment with strong corporate tax experience within industry or practice and experience of managing international tax compliance.
Salary guide of c£80,000 full-time equivalent (pro-rated for part-time hours).
Flexible part-time working (ideally four days per week)
Hybrid working – ideally 1 day in office.
