Mixed Tax Manager – South Manchester Permanent NEW

A highly regarded regional independent firm in South Manchester is looking to appoint an experienced Mixed Tax Manager to join its growing Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys a varied role, with a particular interest in Personal Tax, complex compliance and advisory work with OMB clients.

With a strong leaning towards Personal Tax, you will manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, entrepreneurs, business owners and high-net-worth individuals. You will take responsibility for complex tax compliance, including reviewing and overseeing Self Assessment returns, partnership returns and more involved personal tax matters, while identifying opportunities for proactive tax planning and advisory work.

The role will also involve advising clients on areas such as capital gains tax, inheritance tax, trusts, remuneration and business-related tax issues, with the opportunity to become involved in more complex advisory projects as your experience develops.

Alongside your client responsibilities, you will play an important role in supporting and developing trainees and more junior members of the team, helping with technical queries, reviewing work and contributing to their progression. There is also scope to develop your own people-management skills, with a clear pathway towards taking greater responsibility for the team and workflow.
