Working with the Head of Tax and a small in-house tax team, this role has a wide range of responsibility -corporate tax governance, controls, compliance and reporting responsibilities and ongoing day-to-day support in respect of general tax including VAT and employment taxes advice.
The role is broad so you will be expected to be both a strategic partner to the business providing commercial support, as well as being hands on across all taxes, for example support on structuring and M&A activities keeping stakeholders across the Group informed of changes in tax legislation and regulation. With responsibilities across the Group and UK entities including corporate tax, tax reporting/accounting and indirect taxes as well as overlaps with transfer pricing.
This would suit somebody looking to make a step-up into a group tax role that reports directly into the Head of Tax ideally, (but not essential) with in-house experience who can demonstrate credibility across all areas of tax (without needing to be a specialist in VAT, employment tax etc).
Based out of offices in Cheshire, hybrid working is on offer ( likely 2-3 days in the offices)
Please note that only those applicants who have a legal right to work in the UK and have an appropriate amount of practical relevant UK tax experience will be considered for this role. Additionally, candidates who are already registered with us will be automatically considered for this Group Tax Manager job. Ref R3320
