about Mike
Mike specialises in recruiting Partners and Directors and, since founding the business in 2003, he has recruited numerous candidates for clients from Big 4 to local firms. He is both an F.C.A. and a C.T.A , tax trained in a Big 4 firm, and was formerly an equity partner and Head of Tax in the Manchester office of a Group A accountancy firm. Mike had over 15 years’ experience of building tax teams and of recruiting tax specialists as an employer. He was Chair of the Manchester branch of the CIOT for three years and continues to be actively involved with the branch.
Mike’s experience as a tax partner gives him a unique understanding of high-level tax recruitment from both candidates’ and clients’ perspectives. In his spare time Mike is a keen sports fan and an infrequent and wildly inconsistent golfer. His golfing exploits range from the high point of a hole in one on the 6th at Alderley Edge Golf Club to the low of spoiling his round on the Old Course at St Andrews by taking 7 shots to get out of a pot bunker!
